Lou Correa Calls On Orange County Manufacturer To Start Making Personal Protective Equipment
Santa Ana, CA - Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA-46) issued an urgent request to all Orange County manufactures to immediately begin making masks, face shields, gowns, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for local hospitals, healthcare professionals, and first responders on the frontlines of the coronavirus outbreak.
Congressman Lou Correa also announced he and his staff are coordinating with local hospitals and health providers and will connect local manufacturers with medical providers in need of their services.
Congressman Correa said, “My district in Orange County is home to nearly 3,000 manufacturers who build products used all over the world. It’s time we come together and put those skills to use here at home. Healthcare workers are desperately in need of protective equipment to keep themselves and their patients safe.
“I strongly urge our local businesses to consider what they can do to help. We need everyone working together to stop this threat and save lives. Only together can we make it through.”
